Prosperity vs Happiness

See happiness score plotted against prosperity score in a scatter plot.

It is important to know, that a high happiness score indicates a high happiness, whereas a high prosperity score indicates a low prosperity. Therefore, the shown trend of a negative correlation in this chart indicates, that there is some kind of correlation between prosperity and happiness.

Correlations

The dataset does not only contain happiness score alone, it provides further metrics, such as education or health. To see which effect each metric has on each other and to find potential connections, you can investigate a correlation matrix between all metrics.

As the matrix indicates, most metrics have either a positive or negative correlation, except for population. But this can differ when choosing different filters. Feel free to use them to gain more interesting insights.
